Goal has been set

I have set the goal at one-half mile daily on the gazelle.  It isn't too long, about ten minutes.  Next week or the week after I will walk a whole mile every day!

The Gazelle

I started working out on the gazelle today.  Out of every exercise machine I have ever used I like he gazelle the most.  It is actually fun to use and you really feel like you are working out.  Its like doing aerobics on the machine.  Plus I had a little chart that I had to "measure" everything.  That was fun.  Can't wait to do that again, with a glass of wine, and a pain killer!

To Cook or not to Cook.

I love cookbooks.  I love to look at the pictures and imagine that I can actually cook even though believe me I can't.  Oh I have a few recipes I can rock to but mostly its a hit and miss effort.  Anyway, I like a good cookbook, one with lots of pictures, and not too many crazy ingredients.  I highly recommend Trisha Yearwood's home cooking cookbook.  Lots of pictures and a story for each recipe.  I have even made a few things in it.  Maybe I will break it out next week and make something new.

Diet or lifestyle change?

Its unfortunate that I have found myself, at this time of my life, worrying about my weight.  I'm so tired of this but for the past 13 or so years it is something that I think about...constantly.  If I could have anything in this world, other than money, it would be to weight 130 again.  How sad is that?  I hate it.  But I guess until it is a goal that is realized, it will continue to control my life.  Diet?  I hate that word.  It is such a lie!!  I could diet today and tomorrow, well, I am once again at the starting line, sadly, I'm tired and do not look forward to running that race, again.
